From the memory activation sessions with the Asociación Tabadol, several creative processes were triggered, one of which was the “brown monument,” a tribute to the women of sector 6 who have led a protest movement against the cutting of electricity supply in the ravine. After collecting stories, texts, and key words, we planned sessions to develop this piece alongside the women's collective. It was proposed that the creation of the piece should not be an external process, so the production was organized in a participatory manner, as a collective process.
This work was developed as a cooperative production process at the association's headquarters, a regular meeting place for the women, where they go with their children daily and consider it a space of trust and gathering. A group of women was invited to actively participate in the construction of the work. The dynamic was structured as a collective work system whose objective was to jointly apply a paper-cardboard coating over the base structure, combining the practical task with moments of dialogue and coordination. This cooperative model allowed each participant to contribute from their experience, generating a production methodology based on exchange and collaboration.
The sessions functioned as a meeting space where material production intertwined with conversation and mutual support. Through the shared distribution of responsibilities and joint work, a dynamic of trust was built that favored exchange and collective learning.
Simultaneously, the recording of the names of the 80 women honored was carried out, enunciated by some of the women from the association. These recordings were integrated into an audio, creating a permanent sound body that is housed at the base of the piece and forms part of the work.
