A series of workshops were conducted with l

as part of the research work, dynamics and workshops were held with ……

the women of the Asociación Tabadol, a collective of Moroccan women living in the Cañada Real, with the aim of getting closer to their personal and collective experiences in the territory, as a basis for the subsequent creation of the museum works.

In total, three sessions were held:

First session

This initial contact began with a collective breakfast, prepared by the women themselves. It was very important for us to create an atmosphere of trust where the participants felt comfortable sharing their experiences. We arranged ourselves in a circle so that we could all see each other, thus encouraging active listening. Personal introductions were made, and a series of questions were proposed to activate memories about their life in the Cañada:

- A memory from when you arrived.

- A memory about the demolitions.

- A memory about the power cut.

- At what moment did you feel the need to unite and fight for the neighborhood, and how did you organize yourself?

- What are, for you, the identity elements of the Cañada?

Once all the testimonies were collected, the session was concluded.

Subsequently, a complete transcription of the session was made, and the Todo por la Praxis team, along with Houda, a mediator from Tabadol, selected a series of concepts and key words that would serve as the basis for the next session.

Second session

In this session, we worked more creatively with the words and concepts extracted from the previous meeting. A dynamic was carried out in which all the words were placed in a box, and each participant would draw one out. The goal was to construct new narratives from the words and texts extracted from their previous narratives. From these words, along with others that were on the table, the women crafted more complex phrases and slogans. We aimed for these phrases to be assertive and express the struggle of both the collective and them individually.

The work was developed collaboratively and participatively, resulting in several slogans that were finally displayed on the walls of the association's headquarters.

Third session

The last session also began with a shared breakfast. On this occasion, a mapping dynamic was proposed to highlight the routes, significant places, and personal memories in the territory.

Each participant was given a map of the Cañada Real on which they had to mark different points:

- Their house and those of their friends, including names.

- Usual routes to visit neighbors or friends, indicating each name.

- Points in the landscape that trigger memories or emotions.

- Places or elements that used to exist but are no longer there.

- New places or elements that did not exist before.

- The point where they first encountered the Cañada (their arrival).

- Routes they usually take on foot and by car.

- Routes that trigger specific memories, briefly describing those memories.

This exercise allowed for the mapping of the community's living memory, recognizing the territory not only as a physical space but also as a place with history and memory.
